Đây là nhận định của Bộ phận phân tích thông tin (EIU) thuộc tạp chí The Economist (Anh) trong báo cáo được trang mạng eurasiantimes.com trích dẫn ngày 14/1. Việt Nam đang vươn lên nhanh chóng, trở thành trung tâm sản xuất thay thế Trung Quốc trong chuỗi cung ứng giá rẻ.
Báo cáo của EIU cho thấy, các yếu tố khiến Việt Nam hấp dẫn hơn các nước khác là nhờ động lực khuyến khích các doanh nghiệp quốc tế thành lập các đơn vị sản xuất sản phẩm công nghệ cao, đội ngũ lao động chi phí thấp và có ngày càng nhiều hiệp định thương mại tự do.
Lý giải nguyên nhân khiến Việt Nam trở nên thân thiện với nhà đầu tư, theo chiến lược gia Ruchir Sharma chuyên về thị trường mới nổi tại Morgan Stanley, FDI của Việt Nam đạt trung bình hơn 6% Tổng sản phẩm quốc nội (GDP) – tỷ lệ cao nhất ở các nền kinh tế mới nổi.
Tờ Financial Express của Ấn Độ cũng nhận xét Việt Nam đã nổi lên như một trung tâm sản xuất chi phí thấp, đánh bại Ấn Độ và thậm chí cả Trung Quốc về các chỉ số, bao gồm chính sách FDI, chính sách ngoại thương và kiểm soát hối đoái.
Nhiều chuyên gia nước ngoài nhận định, sự ổn định chính trị – xã hội và cơ cấu dân số đã giúp Việt Nam giành được niềm tin của các nhà đầu tư.
Hiệp định thương mại tự do (FTA) gần đây giữa Việt Nam và Liên minh châu Âu (EU) đã mang lại lợi ích cho Việt Nam khi EU dỡ bỏ 85% thuế quan đối với hàng hóa Việt Nam trong năm 2020. Báo cáo cho rằng các công ty sản xuất giày dép ở Việt Nam hưởng lợi lớn nhất từ FTA.
Trong năm 2020, chính sách điều hành xuyên suốt của Chính phủ Việt Nam là thực hiện “mục tiêu kép” – vừa phòng, chống dịch bệnh, bảo vệ sức khỏe nhân dân, vừa phục hồi và phát triển kinh tế – xã hội. Dịch bệnh COVID-19 diễn biến phức tạp trên toàn cầu, Việt Nam đặt mục tiêu ngăn chặn dịch bệnh không để lây lan ra cộng đồng và để giữ được đất nước không bị ảnh hưởng nặng nề về kinh tế, giữ ổn định xã hội, giải quyết việc làm, có sự tăng trưởng cần thiết.
Mới đây, tờ Le Figaro (Pháp) đánh giá Việt Nam là một trong những quốc gia năng động nhất thế giới trong năm 2020. Việt Nam duy trì tăng trưởng dương ở mức 2,9% trong bối cảnh COVID-19 tác động nghiêm trọng đến kinh tế toàn cầu.
