Sự đầu tư trọng điểm về hạ tầng cùng nguồn vốn lớn từ các tập đoàn kinh tế tư nhân đang giúp du lịch Nghệ An vươn lên mạnh mẽ, từng bước tạo dựng vị thế mới trên bản đồ du lịch Việt Nam.
Bãi Lữ được ví như “dải biển Ngọc” của tỉnh Nghệ An.
Từ mảnh đất “địa lợi, nhân hòa”
Là một trong những tỉnh lớn nhất cả nước, Nghệ An không chỉ sở hữu lợi thế lớn về giao thông mà còn được thiên nhiên ưu ái ban tặng nhiều danh lam thắng cảnh. Từ xa xưa vẻ đẹp của xứ Nghệ đã được dân gian ca tụng “Đường vô xứ Nghệ quanh quanh – Non xanh nước biếc như tranh họa đồ…”.
Địa hình đa dạng: núi rừng, đồng bằng, biển, đảo trải dài từ Tây sang Đông giúp Nghệ An có đầy đủ hệ sinh thái du lịch tự nhiên. Trong đó, khu dự trữ sinh quyển miền Tây Nghệ An đã được UNESCO công nhận là Khu dự trữ sinh quyển thế giới năm 2007. Tỉnh có đường bờ biển trải dài hơn 82km.
Trong đó, có những bãi tắm đẹp như Cửa Lò, Quỳnh Phương, Quỳnh Lập, Diễn Thành và đặc biệt là Bãi Lữ. Không chỉ sở hữu lợi thế độc tôn về địa thế với dải đồi cao thoải dần ra biển, rừng thông xanh mát quanh năm, Bãi Lữ có bãi cát trắng uốn hình cánh cung, nước biển trong (nhờ nằm xa các cửa sông), độ mặn vừa phải, nhiệt độ bình quân nước biển trong cả năm khoảng 20°C. Nơi đây còn có mạch suối khoáng nóng tự nhiên giàu dưỡng chất.
Bên cạnh đó, nhờ cấu tạo địa chất đặc biệt, Nghệ An còn có hệ thống hang động và thác nước độc đáo như: hang Thẩm Ồm, hang Bua, hang Thẩm Chạng, hang Cỏ Ngùn, hang Poòng, thác Khe Kèm, thác Xao Va, thác Bảy tầng, thác Ba Cảnh, thác Đũa…
Cùng với vẻ đẹp tự nhiên, tỉnh trung tâm của khu vực Bắc Trung Bộ còn là vùng đất địa linh nhân kiệt, có bề dày lịch sử văn hóa và truyền thống cách mạng: Khu di tích lịch sử văn hóa cấp quốc gia đặc biệt Kim Liên – Nam Đàn, quê hương của Chủ tịch Hồ Chí Minh… Dân ca Ví Giặm Nghệ Tĩnh đã được UNESCO công nhận là Di sản văn hóa phi vật thể đại diện của nhân loại. Du lịch tâm linh cũng tạo sức hút lớn cho du lịch Nghệ An với ba trong tứ linh xứ Nghệ (nhất Cờn, nhì Quả, tam Bạch Mã, tứ Chiêu Trưng).
Những năm qua du lịch Nghệ An đã từng bước phát triển vững chắc. Nếu năm 2011, tỉnh mới đón hơn 3,2 triệu lượt khách, doanh thu hơn 1,3 nghìn tỷ đồng thì đến năm 2019, tổng khách du lịch là hơn 6,5 triệu lượt, doanh thu tăng lên hơn 8,8 nghìn tỷ đồng (số lượt khách tăng gấp đôi còn doanh thu tăng gần 7 lần). Năm 2020, dù chịu tác động của dịch Covid-19, Nghệ An vẫn đón hơn 2,6 triệu lượt khách.
Với thế mạnh hiện tại cùng chiến lược quảng bá du lịch sáng tạo, thời “hậu Covid 19” Nghệ An kỳ vọng sẽ sớm lấy lại đà tăng trưởng trước đó.
Đến nơi hội tụ của những thương hiệu hàng đầu
Cùng với lợi thế về tự nhiên, chủ trương đưa du lịch trở thành ngành kinh tế mũi nhọn của tỉnh Nghệ An đã tạo ra sức hút đặc với các Tập đoàn kinh tế tư nhân. Để hiện thực hóa “lời kêu gọi” thu hút đầu tư, những năm qua Nghệ An cũng đã đầu tư trọng điểm cho hạ tầng giao thông gắn với hạ tầng du lịch. Cầu Cửa Hội đã chính thức thông xe tháng 03/2021, đường ven biển Nghi Sơn – Cửa Lò, đường Vinh – Cửa Lò… đang được triển khai. Đặc biệt là dự án mở rộng, nâng cấp sân bay Vinh.
Đây là sân bay đóng vai trò quan trọng trong chiến lược phát triển kinh tế xã hội không chỉ của tỉnh Nghệ An mà của toàn khu vực Bắc Trung Bộ. Theo quy hoạch của Bộ Giao thông vận tải, sân bay Vinh sẽ là sân bay quốc tế cấp 4C (tiêu chuẩn ICAO). Tháng 08/2019, Phó Thủ tướng Trịnh Đình Dũng đã ký văn bản số 6851VPCP – NN phê duyệt lập quy hoạch dự án mở rộng, cải tạo sân đỗ tại sân bay Vinh.
Đặc biệt, từ định hướng phát triển các đường bay trực tiếp đi quốc tế của Chính phủ, Cục Hàng không Việt Nam đã chọn sân bay Vinh là một trong những sân bay quốc tế trọng điểm. Trước mắt sẽ đưa các đường bay đi và đến Vinh vào chương trình đàm phán với các nước Đông Nam Á, Trung Quốc, Hong Kong và Đài Loan. Cục Hàng không dân dụng Việt Nam cũng dự báo đến năm 2025, lưu lượng vận chuyển của sân bay này sẽ đạt 6 triệu khách.

Đón đầu vận hội mới, hàng loạt “ông lớn” bất động sản đã đổ về Nghệ An. Chỉ tính trong năm 2020 đã có 11 dự án bất động sản lớn, quy mô hơn 10.000ha với tổng mức đầu tư 4 tỷ USD của Vingroup, FLC, T&T Group, Eurowindow Holding, Tân Á Đại Thành, Ecopark, Lotte Việt Nam, Central Group Việt Nam… được tỉnh Nghệ An chấp thuận đầu tư.
Cùng với đó là sự xuất hiện của những đại dự án trong lĩnh vực du lịch nghỉ dưỡng như Vinpearl Cửa Hội (quy mô gần 200ha, tổng mức đầu tư 5.000 tỷ đồng), tổ hợp du lịch sinh thái và vui chơi giải trí Diễn Lâm của Tập đoàn Mường Thanh và đặc biệt là Meyresort Bãi Lữ của Tập đoàn Tân Á Đại Thành (quy mô gần 200ha, tổng mức đầu tư hơn 4.000 tỷ đồng).
Với nguồn vốn “khủng” từ các thương hiệu bất động sản hàng đầu, du lịch nghỉ dưỡng Nghệ An được nhận định đang bước vào giai đoạn đầu của quá trình phát triển tăng tốc và sẽ sớm định vị mình trở thành điểm đến hạng sang của khu vực phía Bắc.
